Port Tampa Bay is set to expand with a fourth cruise terminal, following unanimous board approval in June 2024. The $80 million project, funded by grants and private investors, will supplement the port's three existing terminals, which are operating near capacity. Adding a fourth terminal to the port will help to boost Tampa's strategic plan to grow the cruise industry and become a homeport of choice for cruises.
Port Tampa Bay has recently become the homeport of Margaritaville at Sea's new vessel, the Islander. Offering 4- to 7-night cruises to the Western Caribbean, Margaritaville's expansion from the port gives cruisers exciting new options to explore the tropics on its brand new, recently renovated ship.
