Cruisers with status in any of the three lines owned by Royal Caribbean Group now have the benefit of matching their perks with the cooresponding tier of the group's other cruises.
Starting on cruises departing on or after June 5, 2024, cruisers booked with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, and Silversea Cruises have unlocked more options than ever thanks to Royal Caribbean Group's new, industry-first loyalty status match program.
The announcement, made by Royal Caribbean Group on May 30th, 2024, is a first for the industry. While some cruise lines such as MSC Cruises and Virgin Voyages allow you to status match into their loyalty tiers by bringing in status from other travel-related loyalty programs, no cruise parent comapny had yet to implement a multi-line status match across all of its owned brands until now.
Royal Caribbean Group CEO Jason Liberty explained that the new program was created to motivate passengers "to feel loyal to stay within your family of brands." Liberty says that this change is attributed to the strategic shift to move cruisers from "a vacation of a lifetime" to "a lifetime of vacations" across all three distinct lines owned by the group.
Royal Caribbean Group released the following table showing which loyalty tiers in each of its three brands coorespond to each other:

For example, if a Celebrity Cruises Captain's Club Elite member was previously a Gold Crown & Anchor Society member with Royal Caribbean, their status would be upgraded to Diamond as part of the new status match program. If that cruiser also made a loyalty account with Silversea Cruises, they would automatically be enrolled with 250 Slilversea Venetian Society days and recieve the cooresponding perks, despite never having sailed with Silversea in the past.
Customers with existing loyalty status with any of the three cruise lines will automatically have their status matched as the program comes into effect, as long as they have an existing loyalty account for each brand.
Personally, we are thrilled at this new change and hope to see similar status match programs roll out from Carnival Corporation and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. This new program gives cruisers with brand loyalty the flexibility to try out other cruise lines while enjoying perks such as free laundry, priority disembarkation, complimentary drinks, and more.
